- LG refrigerator compressor replacement. An LG LFX25991ST had stopped cooling: the compressor still hummed but no longer pumped refrigerant. We confirmed it on gauges, installed LG’s updated compressor and reflashed the control board, for $1,300.
- Heat pump out of refrigerant. A nitrogen test found a single leak at the suction service valve, which had been opened too hard. Turning the stem in a little and then opening it fully without forcing it stopped the leak, so no new valve was needed.
