PC CH Pro Recommended Samsung Refrigerator PC CH — Communication Error
The display shows PC CH or PC ER, sometimes right after a power outage or after the doors were taken off to move the fridge.

What does Samsung PC CH mean?
Samsung lists PC ER and PC CH as a communication error: components in the refrigerator's electronics are not exchanging signals with each other. Samsung says it can follow a power surge, or appear when the doors are not properly connected.
What causes Samsung PC CH?
- A recent power surge or outage
- The wire harness above the door not fully connected, for example after the doors were removed to fit the fridge through a doorway
- A damaged harness or connector at the door hinge
- A failing control or display board
How to fix Samsung PC CH yourself
- 1 Turn off power at the circuit breaker or unplug the refrigerator.
- 2 Disconnect and reconnect the wire harness above the door, then restore power. These are Samsung's own steps for PC ER and PC CH; if you can't reach the harness comfortably, skip this and book service.
- 3 If PC CH returns after power is restored, book service: the harness and the boards it connects need testing.
