What does Bosch E15 mean?
The AquaStop flood protection sensor detected water in the base pan of the dishwasher. This triggers a drain pump that runs continuously and locks out normal operation.
What causes Bosch E15?
- Door gasket leaking — water dripped into the base during a cycle
- Spray arm cracked or loose, directing water toward the base
- Internal hose connection loose
- Detergent overfoaming (wrong detergent or too much)
How to fix Bosch E15 yourself
- 1 Switch the dishwasher off and close its water supply valve. Bosch's own E15 instruction stops there: turn off the water inflow and call for service. Do not tip or tilt the dishwasher.
- 2 Check the floor and the door edge for water, and note where it is; it helps find the leak.
- 3 Check the door gasket for cracks or debris preventing a good seal.
- 4 Verify you are using dishwasher-specific detergent (not liquid hand soap — this creates excessive foam).
